Music City Texas...Where the Music Never Dies! Renovation
on the old American Legion Hall in Linden began in the summer of 2002. The idea of the Music City
Texas Board of Directors was to upgrade the building in order to hold concerts. The surprise was that
the Theatre has become so much more. We have hosted concerts, dances, pubic forums, political rallies,
public school talent shows, family and class reunions, and even a wedding. The primary function of the
Theatre is still to be a place where music is enjoyed. Music is the force that drives us, so any time
there is an event at the Theatre, you can always expect to hear quality musical entertainment! So
dress casual, drop by, relax and take in a show. Then you will understand what MCT is all about.
Music City Texas is proud to announce the opening of Music City Texas Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,
located in the Music City Texas Theatre.
An ever-expanding collection of Texas Rock and Roll
memorabilia will be on display year round. Vistors are invited to come through and tour the historic
Theatre and view the displays. At the present time, there is no admission, but donations are always
greatly appreciated.
Proposed inductees for the Hall are:
Don Henley
Buddy Holly
Janis
Joplin
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Delbert McClinton
Steve Miller
Shiloh...and the list goes on
and on.
